May Andersen

Stats: 82/64/84  Height: 175cm  DOB: June 19,~1983

For some reason I've always liked May, from the time I first saw her in a parade when her hair was blond (in 2000). She's been modeling since 1998 I think, back when she was 15, but has never been particularly popular unfortunately. She doesn't seem to bond all that well with the other models.

Earlier in her career she was in a few advertising campaigns (BCBG, Alberta Ferretti) but I can't remember seeing her in any ads recently. However she has been in a few editorials lately in European magazines, my favourite being a lingerie shoot in German Vogue. She was much in demand in London for their SS 2003 fashion week, and the designers made the most of the opportunity, styling her in a lot of revealing pieces.

Update: I've seen May in an advert for Paolo Frani in the October edition of "V"- not a well known designer, but good news nonetheless.

Nadine Strittmatter  

Stats: 85/57/87   Height: 180 cm  DOB: ?

A very wierd looking girl with an incomparably sexy body.

She was by far the model I liked best in all the SS 2003 parades, and is still my number 1. However, the fashion industry differs in it's assessment, and has downgraded her to B-list status after only one high profile season. I think she started modeling in 2002 - she was in a few of the AW 02 shows (like Paco Rabanne). She's scored several editorials, usually along with other models, and has been in campaigns for Icthys, Pinko and Atsuro Tayama. The sole piece of personal information I have on Nadine is that she's an equestrian.

Initially Nadine didn't seem to know how to pose and walk properly - her head would bob around alot- but I was very impressed with the improvement in her poise in the last round of shows. I hope this translates into more shows for her in upcoming seasons.

 

Rie Rasmussen

Stats: 87/61/88  Height: 178cm  DOB: ?

The former "Gucci Girl". It's seems that being chosen by Gucci usually does wonders for a model's career (Natasha Vojnovic is another good example, and in an interview Alyssa Sutherland mentioned that it was only after making it into a Gucci show that Italian designers started showing any interest in her). An appearance at the Victoria's Secret 2002 show is another highlight in her modeling career. She did a little modeling work in her mid-teens, went on to study cinematography and was only recently "rediscovered".

Rie is a very approachable, chatty and exuberant model. Unlike most models with acting aspirations (I believe the term used is "mattresses" ) I think Rie may actually be able to succeed. "Nudity taboo" is an alien concept to Rie - she was featured in a lot of explicit editorials in 2002. Looks like she's also been losing weight over the past year.
