Carmen Maria Hillestad  

Stats: 87/63/90  Height: 178cm   DOB: April 18, 1983

Carmen's enchanting face comes from a mixed Norwegian and Mexican heritage. Sometime around 2000 she began her modeling career, and now resides in New York. A very pleasant person judging from an interview I saw with her. She just falls short of being an A-list model.

Her hips and stomach are the regions most appealing to me; she looked fantastic wearing a swimsuit in the Sportmax 2003 SS show. There's an exaggerated "kink" in the middle of her nose; it's most noticeable when seen from side-on.

 

Diana Gartner  

Stats: ?  Height: ~179 cm   DOB: January 22 (around 1978)

Diana is a really scary looking model. My initially estimation can be summarized as "an emaciated gothic Frankenstein", but obviously my evaluation of her has underwent considerable melioration or she wouldn't be on these hallowed pages.

She commenced modeling after being spotted by a scout in a French fast food outlet (circa 1996). Believe it or not, she was a Guess? girl in 1997. Her her was "blond" until mid-1999, and black thereafter. Her career lagged around 2000 &2001, but she's currently experiencing a renaissance. Lately I've seen her in ads for 2 different cosmetics firms, and in shows for a mixture of major and minor designers. Nice body - I especially like the 2nd pic below, though "Family Values" fuddy-duddies won't approve.

Delfine Bafort

Stats: 85/56/84  Height: 177cm   DOB: August 7, 1980

Delfine strikes me as a melange of toughness and cuteness. She has a sharp mind and often seems to be in a playful mood backstage. Underneath that frivolousness there also appears to be a certain mercenariness to her though - in an interview she declared her goal in life was "to be rich". A lot of people have similar ambitions but rarely admit it with as much candor as Delfine. Looks like Delfine is well on her way to realizing that dream - lately she's been the most popular Belgian with advertisers (off the top of my head Exte, Versace, DKNY, Borbonese and Kenzo have all recruited her for their campaigns over the past year).

On one site I saw her described as androgynous, but she looks very feminine to me. Sure, she has better than average muscle tone for an ectomorph, but you'd have to have serious visual problems to mistake her for a guy. She looks like a completely different person when she's smiling or laughing.

Despite her current popularity with the fashion industrial she has an almost nonexistent web presence. All I could find were a few paragraphs on non-English web sites. Seems like she starting modeling when she was 18 and studying some kind of Arts degree. I think she's currently Ford's leading model. Delfine wants to be an actress apparently, and I wager she would do quite well in that role.

 

Dewi Driegen  

Stats: 85/64/89   Height: 179  DOB: Sept 8, 1981

I'm really captivated by this model - man, I even gave her 6 picture slots. She was spotted by a scout during her early teens but didn't begin modeling until she has completed high school. Dewi was only awarded third place in the Metropolitan agency's 2000 "World SuperModel Contest", and later on signed up with Elite instead. Many important designers have utilized her during their shows since SS 2002, but she doesn't seem to be that popular with advertisers and magazine editors.

Dewi can be very charming when she's not trying to project a tough, pococurant attitude; I've also heard she's something of a binge eater. Understandable and forgivable. Her musical taste is questionable - "house and R&B" . Her command of English is very good - better than a lot of people for whom English is their native language. English speakers should take note than her name is pronounced something like "Daa-vy", and not like matutinal water condensation.
