For several months I was deeply in love in Raquel. The infatuation has receded, but she's still one of my favoured girls. From 1999 onwards she's done many designers' shows, yet editorials are scant - the best I've seen is the pugilistically inspired one from Italian Vogue in mid-2002 (the middle pic below). Escada, Valentino and Versace (their cosmetic range) have all used Raquel in their advertisements.
She as a top-notch body structure but looked better when she carried more weight in 2000/2001. She's probably the "white-est" of the Brazilian models, and was even born in a town called Novo Hamburgo.

Shirley had a successful runway career from 1996 to 2000. The last two years I've noticed her in the occasional runway show, in several editorials and at least 4 campaigns (Jitrois, Nine West, Bebe, and "Barely There" lingerie). She is possibly the most cheerful and amiable model in the industry. She has good reason to be so, since modeling liberated her from the drudgery of working in a Brazilian shoe factory. Recently she's had "time out" due to pregnancy, but was in several of the Sao Paulo AW 03/04 shows.
Her face -while pleasant to behold- isn't perfect, but her body is. Not surprisingly designers tend to put her in a lot of swimsuits and meagre outfits.

Initially I had a lot of difficulty in learning to identify Talytha (I believe her name is pronounced Ta-lee-ta Pu-glay-zee). More than any model I know of she has a chameleon-like ability to look markedly different from show to show. Her lean face is like that of a beautiful alien rather than a coarse human, and her body is both slender and curvy. Talytha's walk is somewhat unusual - she has really large, pronounced arm movements. Sweet and shy are the words that best do justice to her personality. She seems loathe to expose her breasts, despite the best efforts of designers and stylists to uncover her glorious orbs. She has at least two tattoes - a heart on her lower abdomen, and a simple star on her left shoulder
She was discovered by an agent who saw her in an advertising brochure for a dancing school she attended. I first saw her in fashion shows in 2000. In 2002 I didn't spot her in that many shows - she's doing more editorial work now.
