Of the models to emerge over the past 5 years Carmen is the second most powerful presence, deferring only to Gisele Bundchen. Unlike Gisele though she hasn't penetrated into popular culture. Time for Carmen to get a celebrity boyfriend and make a few appearances in "Men's Magazines" :) Actually I think she wishes to remain a high fashion model and not to lower herself to the level of the vulgar masses.
Intelligent and strong-willed is the impression get of her from interviews. Unlike most models her body doesn't have any flaws. Her best body part are her thighs in my opinion, the rest being not far behind. She lost a bit of weight soon after she started modeling in 1997 (about 5 kg gathering from a few scans I have of her from that period). Carmen made the "bob" hairstyle fashionable in 2000 (several other models such as Bridget Hall followed suite), but I preferred the long "blond" hair of her earlier years. Thankfully she's reverting back to long hair again. She also seems to be much more comfortable with nudity now - in the past year I've seen her in transparent tops in several parades (Exte, Paco Rabanne..)

Russian models seem to be at the two extremes physique-wise - they're either really skinny or else significantly broader than your average fashion model. Colette best exemplifies the "toothpick" physique - the only part of her which is big are her wonderful eyes. I even recall seeing her depicted in one of those ridiculous "fashion causes anorexia" type articles that occasionally manifest in the media.
For a long time I dismissed her as a freak; only recently did I see the light and become a disciple of hers. I really like her stomach, only second in splendor to her face. I'm not qualified to remark on her personality given the dearth of interviews and backstage footage of her. And strangely there's practically no editorials of her in the various English-language mags - maybe she's offended some editors and photographers (apparently the fashion business is full of inflated egos).
Colette's modeling career probably began in 1998; looks like it's coming to an end. She wasn't in that many AW02/03 shows, and in even fewer of the SS03 collections.

Diana (she pronounces her name Dee-anna) is the model for whom the term "babe" is most appropriate. Sporting an edgy, dual-layered platinum blond hairdo (the back portion of her head was shaved with the hair on top largely overlaying the shaved portion), she impacted powerfully on me when she opened the Versace ss 2002 show. For the AW 02/03 shows though she coloured her chocolate brown, and I don't think she was as in demand as during the prior season. Blondness suits her.
I wouldn't say Diana has a perfect body, but rather an amazing body, a fusion of athletic strength and voluptuous curviness. In interviews she comes across as sensible, stable and quite intelligent. She must have an exhibitionistic streak though, since she prefers catwalk to editorial work, which is quite unusual for a model. I imagine having to walk towards a wall of flashing cameras would be undiluted torture for most people.
She commenced modeling after having finished her schooling, in 2000 I think. Sure beats taking up an entry-level clerical or hospitality job. I didn't see Diana in any magazine editorials in 2002 but she was in advertisement for La Perla that year. In the previous year she was in ads for Versace and Sportmax.
